Engineering entity

We turn chaos into a parcel.

WiewTech is the engineering company behind Wiew. Public property records arrive from hundreds of jurisdictions in hundreds of shapes. We resolve them into one trustworthy answer about one specific piece of land.

INGESTING
UNSTRUCTURED PUBLIC RECORD
We are not an agency. We have one client, and it is the product we own.

WiewTech exists to build and run Wiew. That focus is the point. Property data is unforgiving: every jurisdiction records it differently, most of it is stale the day it is published, and a number presented without its provenance is worse than no number at all. Solving that takes a team that works on the same problem every day, not between engagements.

01
The pipeline

From a filing cabinet in one county to a number you can act on.

There is no single source for what a property is or what it allows. There are thousands of them, and they disagree. This is the path every field travels before it reaches a screen.

01

Ingest

Hundreds of jurisdictions, each with its own format, vocabulary and release schedule. Nothing arrives clean and nothing arrives on time.

02

Reconcile

Every record is pinned to a single parcel, and carries its source type and its date with it from that point forward.

03

Model

Only where the record is silent. Always labelled as modelled, always expressed as a band rather than a false point of precision.

04

Serve

Computed server side, behind authentication. The method never ships to the handset, and neither does the derived data.

05

Surface

Four product surfaces, each asking a different question of the same parcel, each able to show where its numbers came from.

02
Mandate

Four disciplines, one product.

Wiew looks like a consumer app. Underneath it is a data business, and these are the four things that have to be right.

D/01

Data engineering

Public records arrive in hundreds of shapes, on no shared schedule, with no common vocabulary. We ingest them, reconcile them to the parcel, and keep a provenance trail on every field so the app can always say where a number came from and how old it is.

D/02

Applied modelling

Where the record is silent we model, and we label it as modelled. Our rule is narrow and strict: models describe property, never people. Every estimate ships with a band, not a false point of precision.

D/03

Platform and infrastructure

Cloud infrastructure, APIs and release engineering for two mobile applications and the services behind them. Computation stays server side, under authentication, so the work that makes Wiew valuable does not travel to the handset.

D/04

Security and privacy

Access control, encryption in transit and at rest, and a privacy line we hold by design: Wiew is addressed by property, never by person. There is no name lookup, and we do not build one.

03
Platform

What we ship.

One platform, four surfaces. Each answers a different question about the same parcel.

Surface 01

ZoneWiew

What the lot allows. Zoning, dimensional rules and constraints resolved to the individual parcel rather than the district average.

Surface 02

ScoreWiew

What the property is worth to you. The same house scores differently for a first-time buyer and an investor, because their constraints differ.

Surface 03

MyWiew

What you already own. A live position on the property, its value band, its costs and what changes would do to it.

Surface 04

ProWiew

The professional side. Verified credentials, portfolios and the tools trades and agents use to be found by the right owner.

Wiew is published by Costace LLC on the App Store and Google Play. See the product at thewiew.com.

04
Practice

How we decide what ships.

These are engineering rules, not marketing copy. They decide what gets built and, more often, what does not.

01

Provenance before presentation

Every figure carries its source type and its date. If we cannot say where a number came from, it does not go on the screen. A confident interface built on an unattributed number is the failure mode we design against.

02

Say what the data cannot say

Coverage is uneven by jurisdiction, and pretending otherwise is the easiest way to mislead someone. Where a record is thin, the product shows less rather than filling the gap with an assumption dressed as a fact.

03

Property, not people

Wiew is addressed by parcel. We do not offer name to property lookup, we do not surface owner identities, and we treat that boundary as a design constraint rather than a setting.

04

The work stays server side

Methods and derived data live behind authenticated services. The client renders results. This protects the people who rely on the output as much as it protects the work that produces it.

05

Own the pipeline

We build our own coverage from primary public records, jurisdiction by jurisdiction. It is slower than licensing a finished feed, and it is the reason we can explain every field we publish.
